Langman Contracting Ltd is a farm contracting business serving Hamilton and the farms around it. You can watch our crews at work in the season videos below, which run from the 2016 maize harvest to the 2018-19 season, and in the photographs on our gallery of previous work.

Frequently asked questions
Where are you based, and how far do you travel?
We are based on Rosborough Road, RD 5, Hamilton, and work on farms in and around Hamilton. If your farm is further out, give us a call and ask.
Do you make round bales or square bales?
Both. We make round and square bale hay and silage, so tell us how you feed out and store your bales and we will bale to suit.
When should I book my maize silage harvest?
Good maize silage is made when the whole plant is between 30 and 40 percent dry matter, so it pays to start checking the crop about three weeks before you expect to harvest. Call us early in the season and we can plan the timing with you.
Can one contractor do the harvesting, spreading and earthworks?
Yes. As well as harvesting and baling, we spread effluent and muck, and our earthmoving gear handles land contouring and drainage. One call can cover several jobs on the same farm.
How do I book a job?
Call 027 498 8295 or 027 600 6694, or send us the form below with the job, the farm address and when you need it done. We will be in touch as soon as possible. Our contact page has every way to reach us.
